A Gewinde-Grenzlehrdorn is a blend of a Gutlehrdorn and an Ausschusslehrdorn. The Ausschuss side of the Gewindelehrdorn bears a red ring. The Gut side should manually (without extra force) screw into the cut thread of a workpiece. If not possible, the thread doesn't meet the desired standards (Ausschuss). The Ausschuss side can manually (without extra force) screw in up to two turns. More than that indicates the thread doesn't meet the desired standards. The reference temperature for workpieces and gauges is 20°C. VÖLKEL offers a factory calibration certificate upon request. Independent lab calibration follows set standards (DIN, ISO, ANSI) on IAC-Gewindescannern.
