A somatic session rooted in slow flow yoga practice for winding down the body and mind, and resetting the nervous system to combat the effects of modern day life. Through longer breathwork, meditations, deep yin stillness, and relaxation techniques, the practice aims to release muscular and emotional tension, calm the nervous system, and provide a profound sense of rest and restoration. Concluding with a herbal tea and time for reflection.
What happens in the Deep Reset?
Breathwork:
Extended practices to slow down the breath, expand your lung capacity, cleanse the body, improve circulation and lower your heart rate. Calm the mind with focus on deep inhales and slow full exhales to promote relaxation.
Gentle Postures & Stillness:
Slow somatic movement and grounding yin yoga postures combined with periods of deep supported stretches and stillness to focus on the body’s physical and internal cues and sensations.
Therapeutic Adjustments:
Hands on pressure and essential oils help deepen release and take participants from a state of overwhelm to calm.
Meditation:
Guided meditation, often incorporating body scans and visualisation.
Relaxation:
Experience a deep state of rest in the body, encouraging awareness of the self in the present moment and acceptance with all that is.
Reflection:
The session concludes with herbal tea and time to process the experience and effects of the practice

A 60 minute class is great for regular practice and grounding, but going beyond an hour gifts you a whole host of deeper benefits. In this Somatic practice we dive into longer breathwork, deeper postures and enter a hedonistic level of meditation and relaxation. Focus is on calming the nervous system, boosting your immune and circulation, relieving physical and mental tension in a somatic practice. Ideal reset if you can’t make weekly classes or you’re looking to experience a deeper yoga practice. We finish with a herbal tea and time for reflection.
