Birth Partner Workshop: Empowering Couples for a Positive Birth Experience

Join us for an enriching Birth Partner Workshop, designed to empower mothers and their birth partners with the skills and confidence needed to navigate the journey of labour and birth together. Drawing on yoga principles, in this hands-on workshop, you will learn a variety of techniques that harness the power of breath, movement, and natural practices to support a smoother, more comfortable birth experience. Experiencing these together with your birth partner ensures you can focus on connecting to self, you can connect to eachother and they can support you.

What You’ll Learn:

– Breathing Techniques: Discover how to use breathwork to manage pain and anxiety, promoting relaxation and focus during labour.
– Movement and Positions: Explore effective movements and positions that can help ease discomfort and encourage labour progression.
– Touch and Massage: Learn soothing touch and massage techniques that provide comfort and relief to the mother, enhancing her physical and emotional well-being.
– Support Strategies: Gain insights into how the birth partner can offer meaningful support, from emotional encouragement to practical assistance, fostering a positive and supportive birthing environment.
– Mental Wellbeing: Understand the importance of mental and emotional support, and how the birth partner can help maintain a calm, positive mindset throughout the birthing process.

Each couple will receive a handout of useful tips and reminders of the practices and techniques to support labour.

 

This workshop is a wonderful opportunity for both the mother and her partner to bond and prepare together, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge and tools to face the birth with confidence and tranquility. It also provides the opportunity to share and discuss any fears, expectations or or ideas either of you may have for your journey.
